Set in New York City's East Village, RENT follows a group of young artists trying to build lives, relationships and a sense of home while facing poverty, illness and profound loss. Through heartbreak, hope and an unforgettable rock score, this powerful musical finds humour and tenderness in the messiness of everyday life, celebrating friendship, chosen family and the idea that a life is measured not by time, but by love.
RENT explores mature themes including HIV/AIDS, addiction, illness, death, homelessness, sexuality and substance use. The production also contains strong language and sexual references. Parental discretion is advised.
